楽園のこちら側 this side of paradise

Fog at noon

is bright

A fish seller is calling out

In the distance

Standing to drink tea

that has cooled off

(the smell of mosquito coil still lingers from yesterday)

This morning there is nowhere to go, nothing to do

Where should I wait for someone who is not coming!

Already the light in the bamboo forest is too bright

and the soil of the onion field is foul and dry

But sister

(carefully avoid using that word)

let’s take a lazy walk in the air of the forest

Feelings and octaves grow from what was sown

until the twilight of the broad bean
