Pelican of Wilderness

my days have come to an end

just like smoke

my bones have been made red-hot

just like fire

I do resemble the pelican of wilderness

on the day that I call on the day that I call

hurry answer me

I’m become like a bird isolated

up on a roof

I’ve eaten ashes themselves

just like bread

may days are like a shadow

that has declined

PSALMS102:6

I resemble the pelican of the wilderness;I am like a little owl among the ruins.

You Keep Saying In Your Heart

you keep saying in your heart

“I am and there is nobody else

and upon you calamity must come

you will know no charming against it”

ISAIAH47:10-11

10 You trusted in your wickedness.

You said: “No one sees me.”

Your wisdom and knowledge are what led you astray,

And you say in your heart: “I am the one, and there is no one else.”

11 But calamity will come upon you,

And none of your charms will stop it.

Adversity will befall you; you will not be able to avert it.

Sudden ruin will come upon you like you have never known.

What’’s Your Business Here Elijah?

when I became afraid

I rose up and went for my soul

and I went into the wilderness a day’s journey

and at length came and sat down

under a certain broom tree

and said “It is enough now take my soul away”

finally I lay down

and fell asleep under the broom tree

but look now an angel of you was touching me and said

rise up and  eat this cake

for the journey is too much for you

so I kept run away from you in the power of you

there I finally

entered into a cave

that I might spend the night there and look

you were passing by

you were not in the wind

you were not in the quaking and you were not in the fire

and there was a calm low voice

What is your business here, E·li′jah?

Go, return on your way to the wilderness

What is your business here, E·li′jah?

What is your business here, E·li′jah?

Go, return on your way to the wilderness

The FIRST OF KINGS19:3-15

3  At that he became afraid, so he got up and ran for his life. He came to Beʹer-sheʹba, which belongs to Judah, and he left his attendant there. 4  He went a day’s journey into the wilderness and came and sat down under a broom tree, and he asked that he might die. He said: “It is enough! Now, O Jehovah, take my life away, for I am no better than my forefathers.”

5  Then he lay down and fell asleep under the broom tree. But suddenly an angel touched him and said to him: “Get up and eat. 6  When he looked, there at his head was a round loaf on heated stones and a jug of water. He ate and drank and lay down again. 7  Later the angel of Jehovah came back a second time and touched him and said: “Get up and eat, for the journey will be too much for you.” 8  So he got up and ate and drank, and in the strength of that nourishment he went on for 40 days and 40 nights until he reached Hoʹreb, the mountain of the true God.

9  There he entered a cave and spent the night; and look! Jehovah’s word came to him, telling him: “What are you doing here, E·liʹjah?” 10  To this he said: “I have been absolutely zealous for Jehovah the God of armies; for the people of Israel have forsaken your covenant, your altars they have torn down, and your prophets they have killed with the swo they are seeking to take my life away.” 11  But He said: “Go out and stand on the mountain before Jehovah.” And look! Jehovah was passing by, and a great and strong wind was splitting mountains and breaking crags before Jehovah, but Jehovah was not in the wind. After the wind, there was an earthquake, but Jehovah was not in the earthquake. 12  After the earthquake, there was a fire, but Jehovah was not in the fire. After the fire, there was a calm, low voice. 13  As soon as E·liʹjah heard it, he wrapped his face in his official garment+ and went out and stood at the entrance of the cave. Then a voice asked him: “What are you doing here, E·liʹjah?” 14  To this he said: “I have been absolutely zealous for Jehovah the God of armies; for the people of Israel have forsaken your covenant, your altars they have torn down, and your prophets they have killed with the sword, and I am the only one left. Now they are seeking to take my life away.

15  Jehovah said to him: “Return, and go to the wilderness of Damascus. When you arrive, anoint Hazʹa·el as king over Syria.

From a Summer to Another Summer

from a summer to another summer

an egypt to another egypt

iron and clays are crushed together

and become like the chaff from summer threshing floor

from a summer to another summer

an egypt to another egypt

iron and clays are crushed together

we are the clay and you are the potter

DANIEL2:35

At that time the iron, the clay, the copper, the silver, and the gold were, all together, crushed and became like the chaff from the summer threshing floor, and the wind carried them away so that not a trace of them could be found. But the stone that struck the image became a large mountain, and it filled the whole earth.

ISAIAH64:8

But now, O Jehovah, you are our Father.

We are the clay, and you are our Potter;

We are all the work of your hand.

“Cursed you will be in the city, and cursed you will be in the field.

Highway

there’ll certainly come to be a highway there

even a way and the way of holiness it’ll be called

the unclean one will not pass over it

and it’ll be for the one walking on the way

and no foolish ones will wonder about on it

no lion will prove to be there

no lion will prove to be there

and the rapacious sort of wild beasts will not come up on it

None will be found there

and the repurchased ones must walk there

happy are the men whose strength is in you

In whose heart are the highways

I will make all my mountains a way

and my highways themselves will be on an elevation

set up road marks for yourself

Place signposts for yourself

Fix your heart upon the highway

the way that you will have to go

listen someone is calling out

calling out in the wilderness

make the highway through the desert plain straight

pass out pass out through the gate you men

make the highway through the desert plain straight

bank up, bank up the highway rid it of stones.

ISAIAH35:8

And a highway will be there,

Yes, a way called the Way of Holiness.

The unclean one will not travel on it.

It is reserved for the one walking on the way;

No one foolish will stray onto it.

9  No lion will be there,

And no vicious wild beasts will come on it.

They will not be found there;

Only the repurchased ones will walk there.

PSLM84:5

Happy are the men who find their strength in you,

Whose hearts are set on the highways.

ISAIAH49:11

And I will make all my mountains a way, and my highways themselves will be on an elevation.

JEREMIAH31:21

21  “Set up road marks for yourself. Place signposts for yourself. Fix your heart upon the highway, the way that you will have to go. Come back, O virgin of Israel. Come back to these cities of yours.

ISAIAH40:3

3  Listen! Someone is calling out in the wilderness: “Clear up the way of Jehovah, YOU people! MAKE the highway for our God through the desert plain straight.

ISAIAH62:10

Pass out, pass out through the gates, YOU men. Clear the way of the people. Bank up, bank up the highway. Rid [it] of stones. Raise up a signal for the peoples.
